It’s full STEAM ahead for the 150 girls who attended the Girls STEAM Celebration event in greater Chicago to learn what a career in science, technology, engineering, arts and math could look like. “We want them to see that they belong in STEAM careers”, says Edie Dobrez, executive director of Homewood Science Center. The Enbridge #ENBFuelingFutures grant supported Homewood Science Center who hosted the event, enabling disadvantaged students to fuel their future potential while helping to build a diverse workforce.

Empowering the next generation of legal minds through mentorship! The Calgary chapter had a successful networking event!
We are delighted to come together to celebrate the students of Enbridge’s Canadian Legal Mentorship Program and express our appreciation to everyone who contributed to its success. The Enbridge's Mentorship Program is designed to support the next generation of lawyers in our communities, with the ultimate goal of having a more equitable and diverse, legal profession. Held at the McCarthy Tétrault offices, the event provided a wonderful opportunity for Law students, Enbridge lawyers, McCarthy Tetrault Lawyers, and industry professionals to engage and connect in a meaningful way As both Enbridge and McCarthy Tétrault are signatories to the BlackNorth Pledge, the BlackNorth Initiative - Alberta Chapter committee members were delighted to support and honor this significant event. It was heartening to witness these companies persisting in their efforts to drive progress and deliver lasting change. During the gathering, former Executive VP and Chief Legal officer of Enbridge, Bob Rooney highlighted the importance of mentorship and the profound journey that takes place where mentors, as much as mentees, glean valuable insights and growth opportunities from the mentorship dynamic. Mentors aspire for their mentees to surpass their own accomplishments, embodying a spirit of empowerment and continuous advancement within the legal profession.

Energy infrastructure is needed to meet the energy demand of the future and navigate the energy transition. At Enbridge, we believe we need a balanced approach and all forms of energy as we move forward – more renewables, natural gas and oil, alongside more carbon capture and innovation. Prioritizing progress over perfection and incremental progress will be key. So, let’s say “yes” to improving the permitting process and to building energy projects. Let’s say “yes” to advancing climate goals and providing affordable energy for all. Read more from Enbridge’s CEO on the path to ‘yes’: https://ow.ly/L0rY50RyyaE
